Pack adds, "The process that ended with the Byzantine text-type finds its beginnings in Origen's methodology, for[COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)][B] it was a process of 'correction' of the knowledge, use and conflation of different textual traditions,[/B][/COLOR] and the handling of the text with the interests of teaching and preaching in mind" (346-47).
